The Evergreen Township Board met August 8th for their regular meeting at Todd & Rana Holmer’s.  Present were: Betty Janke, Rana & Todd Holmer, Steve Wilkowski Jr, and  Scott Ulschmid.

Steve called the meeting to order. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

Betty read her treasurer’s report of money paid out, money received, money on hand in savings and checking. Balance on hand is $204,009.50 Todd made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report. Second by Scott. All present in favor.

Steve made a motion to pay bills. Second by Todd.  All present in favor. Bills presented for payment are as follows:  Lake Region Electric $31.91 for electric at town hall,  Dan Oelfke $4,000 for 32 hours of road blading, Grant Graham Excavating $8,776.62 for 120th st project and a slow sign, Hensel Mowing $1,500 for Srping ditch clipping, Board wage of $420.97.  All present in favor.

Received a letter for the District 9 meeting on August 15th in Alexandria  Scott is planning to go.  Primary election is tomorrow August 9th.  Julie Slevin and Rana will be the judges.  We have the Treasurer and 1 Supervisor position open in the November election.  Deadline to sign up is August 16th.

Merle figured needed about 500 more yds on 100th St and then should be done.  He has completed 450th Ave/140th St and did by Bonnie Korth’s corner.  Grant finally got the SLOW sign and has put it up so his bill is now complete.  Jeff Holmer has still not caught a beaver in the Collette Creek culvert, since they left culvert alone past couple weeks, but did just set a trap on 8/6 when they plugged  it again.

Todd completed more weed checks.  Sent 2- 2nd weed notices to the County, 1 for Tansy & 1 thistle.  Sent another notice to a resident with Tansy that they must continually clip it all summer, not just after we send you a notice if you choose to clip it versus spray it.  Also notified the State & County for knapweed.

Todd received a call from Jim Rader thanking the township for the great job on 120th st!

Having no further business, Steve made a motion to adjourn.  All present in favor.

Respectfully submitted, Rana Holmer, Clerk
