Rana received a letter from Carr’s Tree Service regarding their tree removal services.  Scott went to Short Course in Mahnomen.  Paid leave was talked about and they are trying to get it removed from townships needing to comply with the law.  MAT also increasing dues as it has been 13 years since last increase.  They are breaking it down smaller per capita.  Also OSHA fire department requirements were said to be rumors and not true on the time the fire truck units can be in service.  This was per the State Fire Chief.  For roads it was stated that landowners need township permission to put in an approach.

Todd said on 3/25 Dan called about blading and was told to wait until after the forecasted snowstorm.  Bill Lindow called regarding Jed Sazama wanting to move the white pine in the ditch by Bill’s field and wanted to make sure it was ok.  Todd told him it will save us from spraying to kill them so go right ahead.  On 3/29 replaced double arrow & dead end signs and did a culvert marker with an X on it where watch for children sign was removed.  On 4/1 Dan started plowing our roads after midnight and at 7 am on 4/2 Debbie Fisher called to check on road plowing .  On 4/5 Todd & Rana drove the roads and thought they looked pretty good after the snowplowing.  Todd noted Brett won the snowman award as it was the only one we saw while driving around.  On 4/12 drove roads again and think 470 th(Marjamaa) and Fire Road could use gravel.  Will check with Dan about others.

Todd called several people regarding gravel costs for this year as we have not heard from Merle.  Menahga Concrete $18.50/yd hauled, K & K gravel from them has higher binder but would haul out of Toad Lake Pit if we purchase the gravel and then charge us an hourly wage for hauling. Alajoki  will call us back with a quote.  Curt Osterfelt will give us 2 quotes 1) hauling from Toad Lake Pit & 2)hauling form Toad Lake with the cost of the gravel.  Also hve a call into Jeremy Howard with the Toad Lake Pit.  The gravel has held up on 120th east by Rux’s.

Todd also mentioned that the township now has a tool for the anti-theft bolts we are using on the signs.  Next month we should discuss going through the stuff at the townhall.  Todd also completed a MAT survey regarding Fire Department.

Having no further business, Todd made a motion to adjourn.  All present in favor.

Respectfully submitted, Rana Holmer, Clerk
