Evergreen Township Minutes August 11th, 2025
The Evergreen Township Board met August 11h for their regular meeting at St. Paul’s Evergreen Church. Present were: Betty Janke, Rana & Todd Holmer, Brett Jepson and Scott Ulschmid.
Todd called the meeting to order. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
Betty read her treasurer’s report of money paid out, money received, money on hand in savings and checking. Balance on hand is $249,256.80 Todd made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report. Second by Brett. All present in favor.
Todd made a motion to pay bills. Second by Brett. All present in favor. Bills presented for payment are as follows: Dan Oelfke $5175.00 for 34.5 hours of road blading, MN Assn of Townships Annual Dues $468.00, LM Road Services $1747.50 for Spring ditch clipping. Todd motion to transfer $4,000, second by Scott. All present in favor.
Rana received a letter for the District 9 meeting on August 21st at Cormorant Community Center in Cormorant. Scott might go. Rana also mentioned that she did donate the Mule Ballot Box that was found in the Town Hall to the Becker County Museum. They were pretty excited about it as they hadn’t ever heard about them. A form was completed stating it was donated by Evergreen Township.
Brett mentioned the 460th is rough where the new gravel was added just north of 150th st.
Todd reported that a resident on 460th Ave was frustrated with his Wild Parsnip as he has been actively treating it for at least 5 years. Todd told him to mow it and then spray it. On 7/27 did another weed tour and found more Tansy. On 7/31 the beaver are back on Collette Creek Culvert. On 8/1 Alajoki said they were done with 470th and 150th so sent Dan to blade them out. On 8/4 called a resident with Tansy he did mow it. On 8/5 a resident called regarding the slow mail service. Found a number online for her to call higher up the chain to complain as she was having no luck in Frazee.
Having no further business, Todd made a motion to adjourn. All present in favor.
