Rana handed out the MAT membership cards. Minnesota State Demographic Center sent annual population and household estimates. Our population is down by 4 people and are down 1 household. Mentioned Todd and her had worked on cleaning out the Town Hall. All the chairs & file cabinets were put outside with FREE sign on them. The one file cabinet was full of old claims and tax information. Most things were old banks that don’t exist and were put in the paper recycle and noted in our disposition paperwork. Anything with full SSN numbers on them will be burned this winter. Also mentioned that the overweight permits for Dallas Slevin, George Lepisto & Chuck Lepisto on Cedar Ave expire July 1st. Can we motion to extend them for one year? Todd motion to extend to July 1st 2026, Scott second. Rana will send a copy of the original permit with the updated expiration date on it. Gave lists to all board members of what is being stored in Todd & Rana’s Turkey Barn for the township since the Town Hall is leaving shortly. Also found an old Mule Ballot Box in the Town Hall. It is a Civil War Era ballot box that was strapped onto a mule. Todd motion to see if Becker County Museum would be interested in having the ballot box and Scott second. Rana will check with them and deliver it to them if they want it. Also found a full box of Evergreen Centennial books. We will have to decide what to do with them also
On 5/27 Collette Creek culvert plugged again, called Jeff to set a trap. On 5/28 Brett called Todd regarding Lawrence Jepson driveway. Apparently when Dan was supposed to be taking the edge off of 460th he also messed up Lawrence’s driveway. Todd caught up with Dan blading and Dan went back with his Bob Cat and fixed it. Seems some of the problem was Lawrence’s culvert was plugged solid. On 6/1 1 beaver caught in Collette Creek culvert. On 6/9 Todd noted there is oil in the fuel oil barrel at the Town Hall. Betty said the Pioneer Ground doesn’t want the fuel, but would take the barrel. Todd will look into emptying it. Doing weed tours and have seen 2 with Common Tansy already. Also did get some herbicide from the County Ag Inspector to give to residents for noxious weeds , other than thistles.
Having no further business, Todd made a motion to adjourn. Scott second. All present in favor.
Respectfully submitted, Rana Holmer, Clerk
