Rana received a letter for the District 9 meeting on August 14th in Dilworth. Scott at it tonight. Showed what was in the safety deposit box. It was decided that we don’t need a fire proof box for it. Mostly road information that is already on file at the County.
Brett mentioned that Bob Keranen would also be interested in plowing snow on our roads.
Todd mentioned LM cut ditches and would be able to spray for brush and noxious weeds in August and September. County may not supply the herbicide. Todd priced the herbicide and surfactant and is apprx $425. After discussion the supervisors felt it was better to pay LM for the herbicides needed. Todd motion to spray brush and for LM to buy herbicide needed for noxious weeds. Second by Brett. All present in favor. Jed Sazama put chloride on road in front of his house and Dan was notified. Jeff trapped another beaver in Collette Creek culvert. Wild Parsnip was noted in the ditch north of townhall on 440th by a resident. Todd sprayed it. All roads were marked for gravel for Merle. Also sent a few more weed notices for mostly knapweed. Received a call from Jed Sazama upset that chloride portion of road was bladed. Todd talked to Jonah and confirmed that it can be bladed after a good rain & that we ultimately are able to maintain our road no matter what. Talked to Dwight about 430th Ave project and he said current job running long, so probably be September.
Road & Bridge levy from the Annual Meeting is set to be decided in September. We have spent all ARPA funds as of this month and still have 430th & 460th projects to pay for this year. Still have road blading for August, September and probably October and some gravel yet plus, Fall ditch clipping, brush spray and weeds to pay for this year. Tentatively thinking levy will need to increase in order to keep up with rising costs. We will decide next month.
Having no further business, Todd made a motion to adjourn. All present in favor.
Respectfully submitted, Rana Holmer, Clerk
