Evergreen Township Minutes October 12, 2020
The Evergreen Township Board met October 12th for their regular meeting at Todd & Rana Holmer’s home. Present were: Betty Janke, Rana & Todd Holmer, Scott Ulschmid & Steve Wilkowski Jr.
Steve called the meeting to order. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
Betty read her treasurer’s report of money paid out, money received, money on hand in savings and checking. Balance on hand is $108,195.85. Todd made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report. Second by Scott. All present in favor.
Steve made a motion to pay bills. Second by Todd. All present in favor. Bills presented for payment are as follows: Lake Region Electric $33.13 for electric at town hall, Dan Oelfke $3500.00 for 35 hours of road blading, Maggie Ulschmid $41.25 for 15gophers, Scott Ulschmid $96.25 for 35 gophers, Midwest Specialties $632.50 for 55yds of class 5 gravel, LM Road Services $715 for ditch noxious weed spraying, board wages of $280.65, Becker County Auditor Treasurer $9375 Covid Relief funds for county to disburse and Becker County Environmental Services $5.00 for a TV in recycling bin.
Rana and Dave Sorensen will be judging the General Election on November 3rd. Rana will be swapping with another mail ballot township due to being on the ballot. Becker County is taking applications for businesses that need Covid Relief funds. Due to the Mail ballots being accepted until November 10th if postmarked November 3rd , we need to move our Board of Canvas to either the 12th or 13th. Board agreed to move it to Friday, November 13th at 7pm at Todd & Rana’s, also going to move our regular November meeting to that night from Monday the 9th.
Todd talked to Merle and he is done hauling gravel on the Fire Rd, but it may need more next year. Dan did blade it out already and Todd used a drag to smooth it out. Todd noted on 10/7 that Lee Ingvalson was putting another approach in by his new house. Todd thought the new approach should have had a culvert in it and asked Steve to also take a look. Steve agreed it should have had a culvert. Todd talked to Lee on 10/8 regarding the need for a culvert, they ultimately decided to leave as is for now, but if it is an issue later Lee agreed to add a culvert. The big issue he may have is if the ground is froze and we have a fast melt, otherwise is fairly sandy in that area. On 10/7 Todd met with MATIT representative at the TownHall. She noted the fire extinguisher was expired and said we will get a report later. Todd informed her that we really don’t use the building for anything, other than this summer for Covid social distancing. Also talked to Frazee Fire Dept about the well on Andrew’s irrigator. They will try to get out here soon.
Having no further business, Steve made a motion to adjourn. All present in favor.
Respectfully submitted, Rana Holmer, Clerk
