Meeting Minutes May 2021
Evergreen Township Minutes May 10, 2021
The Evergreen Township Board met May 10th for their regular meeting at Todd & Rana Holmer’s. Present were: Betty Janke, Rana & Todd Holmer, Steve Wilkowski Jr and Scott Ulschmid.
Steve called the meeting to order. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
Betty read her treasurer’s report of money paid out, money received, money on hand in savings and checking. Balance on hand is $145,851.58. Todd made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report. Second by Scott. All present in favor.
Steve made a motion to pay bills. Second by Todd. All present in favor. Bills presented for payment are as follows: Lake Region Electric $32.62 for electric at town hall, Dan Oelfke $4070.00 for 37 hours of road blading, Jeff Holmer $150.00 for 5 beavers from Collette Creek culvert, Midwest Specialties $11,592.00 for 1008 yds of class 5 gravel. No transfer of funds is needed this month.
Todd reported that he still has not received a copy of Torey Sonnenberg’s insurance. He has sent Torey a couple texts with our email information if that would be easier for him to get us the paperwork. Steve will try to contact him this month. Torey doesn’t do chemical spraying, but LM Road Services will still do it if we need it done.
Todd received a call from Jeremy Holmer who purchased land from Roger Quittschreiber, off of 110th st near Jim Schultz’s, and wants to put an approach in. Todd told him he needs an 18” culvert. Jeremy asked if he could put 2 -15” in as he can get those from where he works. Todd told him that would be fine. Todd also gave out an overweight permit to Dwight Drewes to do dirt work on Andrew Ingvalson’s off of 120th Ave.
Merle has finished hauling on 150th (486 yds) and 120th(522 yds). He won’t haul until the east end of Hwy 87 is done being repaved. The next roads to be done are Fir ave 750yds, 440th (near Bloomer’s) 72 yds, 120th (Hetherington’s) 90 yds, 410th (Malikowski’s) 36 yds. If Merle isn’t going to haul anymore we may need to check with someone else. Merle also raised his rate by .50/yd. Steve motion to accept Merle’s increase, second by Scott. If we can’t get more gravel hauled maybe we could replace the culvert on 140th. Possibly Torey or Stenger could do it.
Todd noted that the Town Hall has lots of shingles off and appears like there is a hole in the roof on the west side. Todd has some shingles if one of them can go up on the roof to fix it. Scott will take a look at it. Discussed if it is worth fixing the Town Hall. The foundation is bad, ramp is bad, the door should be moved. Steve mentioned he would have a relative interested in buying the land as it is next to his Dad’s property. Rana will check into selling it. Only concern is where to put the recycling bins. When they used to be near Hwy 87 there was more garbage that got put in them.
Scott picked up a tire, carpet and etc in 460th ditch and took to the Becker County Transfer Station in DL.
Having no further business, Steve made a motion to adjourn. All present in favor.
Respectfully submitted, Rana Holmer, Clerk
