Annual Review of the books.  Everything looked good!

Rana mentioned Annual Meeting is Tuesday March 11th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 7pm. We will do our regular March meeting after the Annual meeting.  Annual meeting notices will be in the Frazee Forum of 2/24 and 3/3. Rana also mentioned that the Annual Boundary Survey and the MATIT work comp audit were both completed  The Annual State Auditor CTAS review has also been completed.   The weed meeting will be in Callaway from 8:30-11 am on March 13.  Todd & Rana planning to attend & are giving a presentation.  The Spring County Association meeting will be March 27th at 7pm at the courthouse.

On January 27 Rana & Todd met with Brandon Gill, County Ag Inspector, to go over concerns regarding other townships not following the MN Statute requiring them to do weed inspections and some ideas to update the weed meeting to make it more interesting.

Todd talked with Leo from LM Road Services regarding ditch clipping, brush and noxious weed spraying.  Leo said an updated contract will be headed our way soon.  Dan has also been calling the last couple times to see if roads needed plowing.

Scott, Todd & Rana went to the Fire Department meeting and it appears our rates will be going up, but Rana checked and the amount we have levied will still cover, so we shouldn’t need to raise the levy.  The CIP portion could be changing also since the City had been not figuring their portion of CIP at the 40% rate.

Board discussed the current levy rates and do not see any reason to raise anything for the 2026 levy.  Possibly make a motion to use part of current road & bridge funds to remove townhall this Fall.

Scott went to the State Capitol township Day.  Most discussions were on Roads and the need for Rural Emergency Services assistance.  There had been a bill proposed on Emergency Services, but it didn’t seem to apply for the population amounts of our smaller communities. Also mentioned an article in the Fall Township magazine regarding websites that could possibly affect our site.

Having no further business, Todd made a motion to adjourn,  second by Scott, all present in favor.

Respectfully submitted, Rana Holmer, Clerk
