Evergreen Township Minutes May 11th, 2020

The Evergreen Township Board met May 11th for their regular meeting at the Town Hall due to Covid 19 social distancing requirements. Present were: Betty Janke, Rana & Todd Holmer,  Steve Wilkowski Jr and  Scott Ulschmid.

Steve called the meeting to order. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

Betty read her treasurer’s report of money paid out, money received, money on hand in savings and checking. Balance on hand is $110,523.26. Todd made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report. Second by Scott. All present in favor.

Steve made a motion to pay bills. Second by Todd.  All present in favor. Bills presented for payment are as follows:  Lake Region Electric $32.19 for electric at town hall,  Dan Oelfke $3300.00 for 33 hours of road blading, Tim Drewes $88.00 for 32 gophers, Brody Holmer $15 for website work, City of Frazee $5686.12 for fire contract & $2273.46 for Capital Improvement Fund, Rana Holmer $2554.75 for 929 gophers.  No transfer of funds is needed this month.

Todd talked to Merle on May 10th regarding a bill for the gravel hauled sofar and he said he would wait until next month.  Also gave out an overweight permit to K & T Irrigation for Andrew Ingvalson’s irrigator off of 120th Ave.  Jon Quittschreiber called regarding adding an approach to his property off of 100th st.  Told him it was fine and needed to put in a culvert.  Nolan Paurus called requesting an overweight permit to haul liquid manure from Roger Wacker’s to Hwy 87 on 460th ave.  Told him it wasn’t required and we were happy he was going on 87 versus 150th st.  Ross Hetherington called on April 24th and reported a bad spot on their road.  Todd checked it out and it seemed fine at this time.  Ross also said the road didn’t need to be bladed every time the other roads were being done.  Todd let Dan know.  Emailed Marsha at SWCD regarding grants for spraying ditches.  Also noted the culvert south of Bloomer’s appears plugged.  Steve said he noticed that culvert too.  Albert Doll responded back regarding valve needed on the irrigator for the fire department to hook up is a 3” valve.  Ken from K & T already has the valve on and didn’t have a price on it yet.

Supervisor’s discussed next roads for gravel.  Decided to finish 140th st and 440th to hwy 87.  Will decide at the next meeting as to which road is next.  Looking at some spots on 100th st and the middle 1 mile on 120th st.

Rana reported that Spruce Grove sent back the road agreement.  Now we all have a current paper copy to refer too.  Frazee Rescue Squad also sent a thank you card for the donation.

Having no further business, Steve made a motion to adjourn.  All present in favor.

Respectfully submitted, Rana Holmer, Clerk
