Meeting Minutes March 2021

Evergreen Township Minutes March 8^th, 2021

The Evergreen Township Board met March 8^th for their regular meeting at Todd & Rana Holmer’s home. Present were: Betty Janke, Rana & Todd Holmer, Scott Ulschmid, Dwight Drewes. Steve Wilkowski Jr was absent.

Todd called the meeting to order. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

Betty read her treasurer’s report of money paid out, money received, money on hand in savings and checking. Balance on hand is $153,353.16. Todd made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report. Second by Scott. All present in favor.

Todd made a motion to pay bills. Second by Scott.  All present in favor. Bills presented for payment are as follows:  Lake Region Electric $33.89 for electric at town hall, Brody Holmer $105.00 to update website, Dennis Drewes Inc $540 for snow plowing retainer fee, Scott Ulschmid $77.50 for quarterly mileage and cell phone reimburse, Steve Wilkowski Jr $105.00 for quarterly mileage and cell phone reimburse, Todd Holmer $77.50 for quarterly mileage and cell phone reimburse, Betty Janke $50.00 for computer reimburse, Rana Holmer $125.00 for computer reimburse, $1707.29 for total board wages.   No money was needed to be transferred since Becker County deposited in our checking account.

Annual Meeting tomorrow night at 7pm at Rana and Todd’s.  

SWCD sent a letter thanking for a 100% response from townships on noxious weed reports, talked about grant s available and gravel pit resolution & list of eligible pits.  

L& M Road Services contacted Todd and asked if we could find someone closer to do our ditch clipping.  They recommended Torey Sonnenberg.  Todd contacted Torey and he charges $32/mile and has 2 different types of mowers.  The one in the Fall goes deeper into the ditch.  Todd motion to have Torey clip our ditches contingent upon us receiving his proof of insurance. Second by Scott.

Dan Oelfke contacted Todd and would like to raise his rate to $110 from the $100 he currently charges.  Todd motion to raise it and Scott second.  Dan also mentioned brushing some of the ditches again.  It should go quicker this time since it isn’t as bad as the first time he did them.  He charges $125/hour for this.  Scott motioned to have Dan brush the ditches , second by Todd

Having no further business, Todd made a motion to adjourn.  All present in favor.
