The Evergreen Township Board met January 13th for their regular meeting at Betty Janke’s home. Present were: Betty Janke, Rana & Todd Holmer, Scott Ulschmid & Dwight Drewes. Steve Wilkowski Jr was absent.

Todd made a motion to pay bills. Second by Scott. All present in favor. Not necessary to transfer funds this month. All present in favor.
Rana mentioned that she mailed the annual work comp report in on 1/07/20.. Also that we received a reminder letter from Becker County that our Board of Review will be open book and held at the courthouse. Next month we will audit the books in preparation for the Annual Meeting that will be held on March 10th at 7pm at Todd & Rana’s. The posting for the annual meeting will be in the Frazee paper on the 20th and 27th. Rana, Betty and Julie are registered for Presidential Primary Election Judge Training.
Todd reported a call from Roger Wacker on Sunday afternoon, during the last big snowstorm, wondering why our roads weren’t plowed yet. Roger also called Dwight. Todd told Roger that Dwight was working on going out to plow the roads and that he shouldn’t call the contractor as that is the Supervisor’s responsibility. Also explained that we don’t send Dwight out when no travel advised and Dwight prefers to go out when it is dark, so he is able to see vehicles better and feels it is safer.
Dwight mentioned that he has some areas that should be addressed for next years snow plowing. The issues are: Paul Sweere pushing snow across the road in an area that Dwight can’t get it off the road further and it causes drifting. Lowell Baumgart mailbox and yard. Stanley Malikowski too much stuff in yard for turning around. Todd apologized for the Baumgart issue that was a problem last year as the board apparently dropped the ball on it. We will put an alert on the computer as a reminder to address this summer. Dwight also wondered about moving the recycle bins to the West side of the lot to make it easier for plowing. Todd and Scott thought it could be possible if we enlarged the lot with a little gravel. We will address this summer.
Scott mentioned that Vance Bachmann is now our District Rep and replaced Loren Engebretson.
Having no further business, Todd made a motion to adjourn. All present in favor.
Respectfully submitted, Rana Holmer, Clerk
