February 2019 Minutes
Evergreen Township Minutes February 11th, 2019
The Evergreen Township Board met February 11th for their regular meeting at Betty Janke’s home. Present were: Betty Janke, Rana & Todd Holmer, Scott Ulschmid, Steve Wilkowski Jr and Dwight Drewes.
Steve called the meeting to order. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
Betty read her treasurer’s report of money paid out, money received, money on hand in savings and checking. Balance on hand is $106,002.06. Todd made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report. Second by Scott. All present in favor.
Steve made a motion to pay bills. Second by Todd. All present in favor. Bills presented for payment are as follows: Lake Region Electric $35.57 for electric at town hall, Dennis Drewes Inc $3600 for 36 hours of snow plowing, Minnesota Benefit Association $805.00 for board life insurance, Matthew Ulschmid $46.75 for 17 gophers, Maggie Ulschmid $27.50 for 10 gophers and Scott Ulschmid $41.25 for 15 gophers. Todd motion to transfer $1,200 second by Scott. All present in favor.
Annual Review of the books. One claim for IRS 941was missed. Rana will add it, otherwise everything else was in order.
Todd reported that on January 27th he was called by Arvig regarding them finishing the install of fiber optic lines this summer. Todd told them should be fine the same as last year.
Steve motion to approve LM Road Services contract to mow township ditches in the spring and fall at $30 per mile. Second by Todd. Looked at their estimate for brush cutting and decided to hire Dan Oelfke if we need more done.
Weed meeting is March 28th in Callaway. Supervisor’s will discuss at March meeting as to who is going.
The Annual Meeting is next month on March 12th at 7pm at Todd and Rana’s.
Having no further business, Steve made a motion to adjourn. All present in favor.
