Evergreen Township Minutes February 12th, 2018
The Evergreen Township Board met February 12th for their regular meeting at Betty Janke’s home. Present were: Betty Janke, Rana & Todd Holmer, Scott Ulschmid, & Steve Wilkowski Jr.
Steve called the meeting to order. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.
Betty read her treasurer’s report of money paid out, money received, money on hand in savings and checking. Balance on hand is $90,302.34. Todd made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report. Second by Scott. All present in favor.
Steve made a motion to pay bills. Second by Todd. All present in favor. Bills presented for payment are as follows: Lake Region Electric $35.70 for electric at town hall, Dennis Drewes Inc $1600 for 16 hours of snow plowing, MN Assn of Townships $1232.00 for insurance, Minnesota Benefit Association $805.00 for board life insurance, Rana Holmer $272.52 for website host and postage. Todd motion to transfer $4,000 second by Scott. All present in favor.
Annual Review of the books. One claim for gophers was missed. Rana will add it, otherwise everything else was in order.
Todd reported that on January 9th he was called by Ken Rader who reported that the new landowners on the end of his road were telling him that the road was supposed to extend further and that he would need to remove his fence. Todd reported that the road is accurate based on the recorded road measurements that were recorded at the Courthouse on December 17, 1968 that shows the vacated portion of 120th st.
Donation requests from the In Their Own Words Museum and The Prospect House Civil War Museum in Battle Lake. No motions made to donate at this time.
Todd also reported that while in the Town Hall to get some road paperwork he found that snow was blowing in under the door on the east side. He screwed a 2×4 on the floor to stop it from coming in.
Weed meeting is March 22nd in Callaway. Scott & Todd planning to go and Scott will drive.
The Annual Meeting is next month on March 13th. Todd motion to have the meeting at 7 like our regular monthly meetings since we have no elections. Scott second.
Supervisor’s approved the newsletter rough draft. Rana will get them mailed out this week.
Having no further business, Todd made a motion to adjourn. All present in favor.
