Evergreen Township Minutes January 8^th, 2018

The Evergreen Township Board met January 8^th for their regular meeting at Betty Janke’s home. Present were: Betty Janke, Rana & Todd Holmer, Scott Ulschmid, Brody Holmer & Dwight Drewes. Steve Wilkowski Jr was absent.

Todd called the meeting to order. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

Betty read her treasurer’s report of money paid out, money received, money on hand in savings and checking. Balance on hand is $92,841.36 Scott made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report. Second by Todd. All present in favor.

Todd made a motion to pay bills. Second by Scott. All present in favor. Bills presented for payment are as follows: Lake Region Electric $35.51 for electric at town hall, Dennis Drewes Inc $800 for 8 hours of snow plowing, Becker County Assn of Townships $619.56 for dues, Wes Hegna $3200 for assessing, IRS $340.75 944 for 2017. Todd motion to transfer $5,000 second by Scott. All present in favor.

Todd reported that he did get a call from Duane & Todd Glander & Lee Ingvalson regarding end of Balsam Ave. Researched further and sent new letter reporting that the road is not vacated and there is an easement from the end to Glander’s property.

Marsha Watland talked to Todd regarding the Township not signing the form saying we will use only Certified Gravel Pits. Todd recommended not signing due to limits our options in our area. Scott agreed.

Rana brought up the idea of doing open book Board of Review meetings. Todd motioned to do open book meetings at the Courthouse, second by Scott. We will have to do this for 2 years and can then change again if we want. Rana will notify Steve Carlson at Becker County.

Brody demonstrated his updates to the website and gave us pricing for the hosting service and domain registration. Scott recommended to accept the website and go with a 4 year service for $172.52, which was the most economical priced one. Todd second the motion.

Rana informed of annual firemen’s meeting on January 24^th at 6pm to 8pm. Rana can drive. Todd will let Steve know about meeting. Betty will let Rana know if it will work for her to go.

Having no further business, Todd made a motion to adjourn. All present in favor.
