Evergreen Township Minutes October 14 ,2024

The Evergreen Township Board met October14^th for their regular meeting at St. Paul’s Evergreen Church. Present were: Betty Janke, Rana & Todd Holmer,  Scott Ulschmid & Brett Jepson.

Todd called the meeting to order. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.

Betty read her treasurer’s report of money paid out, money received, money on hand in savings and checking. Balance on hand is $162,037.61. Todd made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report. Second by Scott. All present in favor.

Todd made a motion to pay bills. Second by Brett.  All present in favor. Bills presented for payment are as follows:   Dan Oelfke $4590.00 for 34 hours of road blading,  LM Road Services $945.00 for Fall ditch clipping, Jeff Holmer $75 for 1 beaver from Collette Creek culvert, Frazee Forum $76.44 for candidate filing notice, Rana Holmer $148.65 for stamps and anti-theft nut reimbursement.  Todd motion to transfer $6,000 from savings to checking, second by Scott.

Rana mentioned a County Assn meeting at the courthouse on October 17 at 7 pm.  Scott said he may go.  MN Assn of Townships is having trainings for Clerks and Treasurers in November if interested.

Todd got a call from Blake Jepson on 9/16 regarding correct placement for his fence off of 440^th Ave.  Measured and flagged it for him.  On 9/18 will be attending the second Zoom Mitigation Meeting.  Talked to Grant Graham and he will be doing the signs in the next few weeks. The locations will have to be located first.  On 10/10 talked Dan Oelfke regarding snowplowing and he will keep his rate the same at $150/hour, but asked if the retainer could be raised to $750(equal to 5 hours)  Scott motion to increase retainer to $750 second by Brett.  And on repeat the beavers have again plugged the culvert on Collette Creek.  Jeff has set a trap with no luck yet but, will keep the trap in there another week.

Having no further business, Todd  made a motion to adjourn.  All present in favor.
