Neighbor to Neighbor is in Our Neighborhood!

 

The Neighbor to Neighbor Non profit organization is now servicing Evergreen Township!  I was established by a group of citizens in the Frazee and Vergas communities who were concerned with helping seniors 65 and older remain independently in their homes.  Their organization is based on volunteers, who are in essence the heart of the organization.  Their board oversees the operations of the organization.

Who they serve….

Elders 65 and older living at home, and residing in the cities of Frazee & Vergas, as well as the townships of Burlington, Candor, Dora, Edna, Gorman, Hobart, Silverleaf, Evergreen, Spruce Grove and Toad Lake.

What they do…..

They coordinate and provide the following services.

*Transportation

*Meals on Wheels Delivery

*Senior Socials

*Trips to various theaters.

*Shopping Services

*Referrals to County and other Agencies

*Foot care Clinics by Healthy Alternatives

*Health & Exercise Class

*Friendly visits & Phone calls

*Small household chores

*Handy man services

*Annual Old Time Dance during Turkey Days

*Spaghetti Dinner in June at the Vergas Event Center

*Currently have a program to help modify a bath tub into a walk in shower.  This is covered by grant money!
