Rana mentioned sending letters to Ingvalson, Glander and Ueke regarding end of Balsam. We have not heard any response as of yet.
Rana mentioned going to the Clerk’s training last week and we have to now pass a resolution as to our polling place location for this next years elections. Steve motion to have Becker County Courthouse as our polling place again and Todd second. Rana also brought the annual Outstanding Indebtedness Report and Betty signed that as we have no outstanding debt again in 2017.
Brody than demonstrated his rough draft website that he made for the township. He mentioned some reasons why a website could be beneficial to the township: No information about township meeting, difficult to find town board contact information, lack of meeting information for people unable to attend meetings, no place to look up township policies, no way for township to send out information quickly to residents. At this time there are 2 areas where we can post information too. Steve and Scott would like to remove the calendar page and add a page with a map of the township, add the old township officials and replace toe town board page with a history page and add the town board information to the main page. They would like the public page to have past resolutions and policies such as the snowplow policy, mailbox responsibility and mail ballot resolution, culvert information, permit information. Dwight mentioned maybe having the approach size info on there too. Will check on MN Township Site for more info on that. Brody is donating the cost of building the website so he can get some project experience to use on a resume. Other costs associated would be a server cost of $80 per year and a domain cost of $15 per year. He did give a breakdown of other charges if we are to want him to update the website at some point in the future. Ongoing development and maintenance would be $30/hour up to 10 hours a month and if over 10 hours would be $50/hour. He is expecting us to have minimal maintenance for our site. Steve motioned to pursue the website and a second by Scott. Todd abstained due to being Brody’s Dad.
Having no further business, Steve made a motion to adjourn. All present in favor.
Respectfully submitted, Rana Holmer, Clerk
